where to buy doc martens Allacher announces run for Sheriff
I would like to introduce myself to the citizens and voters of Washington County. My name is Matt Allacher and I have just retired from the Colorado State Patrol after 27 years. After much personal reflection, I am excited to announce that I am running for the office of Sheriff in Washington County.
For those who do not know me, I am married to Tish Allacher, my wife of 23 years. She works for the Otis School District as the librarian. We chose to raise our three sons in a small community with a safe environment. I grew up in Flagler, Colorado, where I lived in a similar environment. I have a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Southern Colorado in recreation and a minor in business, as the career I chose to start was as a Park Ranger.
I can offer Washington County over 30 years’ experience in Colorado Law enforcement. This experience includes 2 years of working with Colorado State Parks, and 1 year 4 months with the Arapaho County Sheriff’s Department. In 1990, I left Arapaho County to begin my career with the state patrol. I have spent time in three duty stations, Summit County,
Larimer County, and Washington/Yuma Counties, with 17 years in these two counties being the longest. I chose to transfer out here from Larimer County for my family and myself. I believe citizens should be treated with a high standard of professionalism by deputies in the county, provide quick, and safe response times to all calls, and have their inquiries responded to by prompt customer service, whether it is in person, email, or a phone call. I believe to prevent crimes of opportunity, deputies need to be out and visible in the community.
