Kay E. Poliner EASTON Kay E. Poliner, 94, of the Freedom Village at Brandywine Retirement Community in Coatesville, PA, formerly of Easton, PA, passed away on Dec. 23, 2017. Born on Aug. 25, 1923, in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Anna Steiger Friedman. Kay was predeceased by her loving husband of nearly 70 years, Dr. Hime S. Poliner. degree in education from Temple University with a major in Home Economics. She taught for two years at Rittenhouse Junior High School in Norristown, PA, before moving to Easton in 1945. Kay was expert in cooking, sewing, and all crafts. She was particularly proud of the multi level rock garden in the backyard of their home at 124 N. 4th Street. After their children went off to college, Kay became the office receptionist for her husband’s medical practice and enjoyed the daily interactions with his patients. After moving to Freedom Village in 1998,

Kay was an avid volunteer in different school and hospital activities in the Coatesville area as well as in her retirement community. Kay was a member of the Temple Covenant of Peace in Easton. Survivors include her five children: a daughter, Kitzie McKinney of Boquete, Panama; four sons, Jay (Jennifer) of West Hartford, CT; Skip (Ildy) of Santa Fe, NM; Barry (Barbara) of Palm Coast, FL, and Lon (Glenda) of San Diego, CA. There are also seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Private graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family at Easton Cemetery.
